Claire Dix is a writer and director of both short film and documentary TV, and an award winning director of music videos. Earlier this year two of her short film scripts were awarded funding by RTÉ, Filmbase and the Cork Film Centre.
Past awards include: 1st prize for Days of Sleep at the ’20/20/02’ music video contest (Leeds 2006), 1st prize for Days of Sleep in the Music and Dance category of Talent Circle ‘Super Shorts’ festival (London 2006) and Soundroom, a short film which Claire wrote won Best Overall Short Film at ‘Crash Festival’ (Thessaloniki, Greece 2006).
TV credits include: series director of An Bhfuil Cead Agam – a four part Irish Language series for RTE 1, series director of Access for All and A Taste of Home – two documentary series for DCTV, series director of The Tidiest of Towns broadcast on RTE 1, series director of Hands On – an RTÉ 1 magazine programme and writer/director of Molly and Mr. Milk – a short animation series for RTÉ 1.
